SIGLA’s 14th National Congress

The congress' format was different from usual: Interactive sessions in which ophthalmologists share 'problems' they face on a daily basis at their clinics.

June 22, 2018 Press

After returning from the Italian Association of Glaucoma Surgery (ASGS) 14th National Congress, which took place in Lucca, at the splendid Complesso di San Francesco, as usual, we are happy to share our experience.

The congress’ format was different this time; not the regular ex cathedra presentations, but interactive sessions in which ophthalmologists shared ‘problems’ they face on a daily basis at their clinics.

An example of this new format was the sharing of common patient profiles in ambulatory care. The speaker complemented the support bibliography by providing his personal solution to the problem and leaving extra time for questions, comparisons, and sharing of best practices.

An event, therefore, characterised by the participants’ high level of engagement and constructive debate. It was a pleasure for us to be able to gather this feedback from the specialists who stopped by our stand.

Everything is about sharing, starting from clinical practice.

It’s been a year since our official presentation in Ophthalmology, and we are now recognised by ophthalmologists thanks to our Pharmaceutical Sales Representatives’ professionalism, who, once again on this occasion, have provided doctors with all the scientific information necessary to support the quality of our treatments.

Furthermore, once again, we have seen how our company’s commitment to Digital Health and the new mobile solutions introduced to Ophthalmologists are able to respond to specific needs, informative training and support, triggering a process that adds value to the Doctor-Patient relationship.

We would like to thank all doctors, colleagues, insiders, and ‘curious people’ that ask us questions every day, request further insights, and push us to move forward in our work, towards protecting the most precious good there is: People’s health.
